What Donors Actually Remember—and Why It Matters

What do donors actually remember?

Is it the campaign? The email? The event? The amount they gave?

After nearly 20 years in fundraising, I think it’s often something much simpler:

They remember how you made them feel.

They remember whether they felt heard. Whether they felt appreciated. Whether they understood the difference their support was making. And whether the relationship felt like more than a financial transaction.
