Why Small Nonprofits Need Strategy—Not Just Passion

Passion is your why. It isn't your how.

Every nonprofit starts with passion. Someone sees a need, imagines a better future, and decides to do something about it.

But passion alone can't build a sustainable organization.

At some point, you need a strategy.

Because knowing why your mission matters is only the beginning. You also need to know what you're trying to accomplish, how you're going to get there, how you're going to fund it, and how you're going to bring others along with you.

Without that clarity, even the most passionate teams can find themselves reacting instead of planning, missing opportunities, experiencing burnout, and wondering why things aren't moving forward.
